Chocolate YUMMY!

These pictures are so fresh that the paint hasn't even dried yet!
We changed our minds from blue or tan to a rich yummy milk chocolate!
Yes, Nate in another picture working.....you would think I do no work around here, I am always the photographer!!

Our tile has been grouted and is finally almost dry....

Lesson #1532: How to tile crooked old floors!

Nate is still smiling here because this was only our first row of tiles......I should have taken a picture of us putting in the last few! Good thing the Tub will cover the far wall.......

Not too shabby..... It's hard to tile in a straight line when your whole house is built in crooked ones! Since the house is so old, I don't think there is a straight line to be found anywhere in it!
The tile is ceramic (way less hassle) but is a rough texture to resemble a natural stone tile.
I will take more pictures once it dries and we get it grouted....and yes, we currently are without a bathroom once again, thank god for our wonderful neighbours!!

primed and ready for paint

This is a picture of our new living room chandelier...it's made of shells...

It's hard to take a good picture of a light...!
The Bathroom got caulked this weekend and was ready to be primed so we decided to knock it out tonight

You can see the faucet pipes sticking out of the wall. Our faucet will come out of the wall into a glass bowel sink. You can also see the wires poking out of the wall for the light sconces as well. Tough to reach around the tub!
The bead board wains coating and all the trims and mouldings are going to be white, while the top part of the wall is going to be a blue color.

Front Porch Demo

The old front porch needed to go...we are keeping the porch but re-doing the railings and posts.
We ripped off the old shingles and the railings to reveal the original wood columns
We found the wood siding to match the rest of the house so we can put it along the front of the house and along the bottom of the columns.

BBQ!!

Since we are about to be without a stove in our kitchen we bought a BBQ so we can actually still cook and eat! Soon to come are the cabinets, counter tops, sink and new appliances.....ahhhhhhh to finally have a kitchen again will be bliss!!
